Man’s dream – to glide through the air, free as a bird !!
To soar through the air free as a bird – a dream shared by many! On the other hand, for many people the mere thought of jumping out of an airplane quickly turns such euphoria into natural fear: What if the parachute doesn’t open!
But now you can fulfill this dream with our parachute simulator – even in bad weather, by the way – without having to really test your courage. A small kick still remains, but the rest is basically thumbs up. The "jumpers" are coached by a trained instructor and need no previous knowledge. There are no age restrictions for adults, and children aged 12 years and over can "jump".

Jumping terrain, the height of the jump, free fall, the landing, etc., all of these details are discussed during the instructor’s briefing. A jump from an altitude of 4,000 meters lasts about six minutes. You can even choose to suit up in the complete parachute gear. The most important piece of equipment are the virtual reality (VR) glasses which provide you with a virtual and yet remarkably real picture of the entire surroundings.

The actual jump takes place from a 30 cm high platform and the "jumper" then hovers several centimeters over the floor. The view through the glasses shows the blue sky and the parachute above, while below the earth comes closer and closer. Every body movement changes flight behavior and the jumper can react to it accordingly. The instructor and spectators follow the flight on the monitor. At 750 meters at the latest, the parachute is opened by pulling the ripcord. Upon landing, the jumper’s feet again touch ground and any fear of breaking a leg during the landing has dissipated.

The ParaSimulator conveys an exhilarating jump experience. In the Aviation Flab Museum you can experience three jumps for the price of Fr. 20.-- (incl. instructions and certificate) plus the normal museum admission charge. We highly recommend that groups make advanced reservations.
